The feel of virtual reality emanates from the marriage of different textures and materials at the reception area
Virtual contrast vs virtual reality.
For a recent project, DB&B Beijing seek for a design concept that best fit their Client’s corporate culture and philosophy. Leading gaming company IGT envisioned a space that will transcend time and trend. The objective was met effectively with touches of simplicity and strokes of colours in selected areas.
DB&B Beijing opted for a clean and sleek look for the reception area. Flanked by architecturally-inspired cutouts and multi-hued mosaic-like carpet, focus is rendered mainly on the reception counter with the company’s corporate identity placed prominently on the backdrop. The colour white is chosen for a clean disposition but a little ‘excitement’ is visible at various areas through the mix and match of these different textures.
Throughout the 1,200 square meter premises, DB&B Beijing also adopted linear lines and the material wood that added to the classic look of the office that is poised to stay in-trend for a long period of time.

Left – Right:
1. The breakout area features an exciting burst of colour with the usage of 100x 100 mosaic pieces cladding the wall.
2. The boardroom is kept to a more serious tone with neutral hues.
