Businesses with a long standing heritage and clear business objectives often inspire designers to convey the legacy in their corporate environment.

For Maersk Line who has been in the shipping business since 1928, their legacy was distinctively expressed in their new 2,500 square meter premises in Metro Manila, the Philippines.  The design brief was to have a corporate yet modern look.  The Client also requested for their corporate colours to be expressed and applied in various locations.

DB&B Philippines conceptualized a theme that flowed freely right from the entrance – reception.  Maersk Line’s corporate colour of navy blue is visible.  White is used predominantly as a second colour with metallic silver finishing completing the colour palette.

The minimalist effect is also seen with soft curves and circular shapes as design accents.  As an added element of surprise, DB&B Philippines used embossed medium-density fireboard accents for the walls at the reception and painted circles in the training rooms and pantry, enabling certain artistry to the whole environment.
