Waves of Corporate Colours

Fluor Daniels Engineers & Constructors is all decked out in blue and white, the organisation’s corporate colours. When designer DB&B was commissioned to spruce up the decor of the office, Fluor specifically requested splashes of these shades, chiefly to reflect the corporate image of the company throughout the workplace. One other thing that the corporation required was the open-concept – to ensure ease of interaction between staff. DB&B took these ideas into consideration and whipped up a fabulous, clean concept for Fluor.

Stepping through the corridor, one is greeted with display posters demonstrating Fluor’s services. The spacious reception area gives off a futuristic feel with glass walls, bright lighting and plenty of white. Variants of the colour blue are used throughout the office. The bright, airy workstations are partitioned by translucent blue dividers, reiterating both the open work concept as well as the usage of the corporate colours. Softer hues are used in the pantry and on the furniture, to allay the strength of blue. The meeting rooms have been given natural, earthy colours, making the space altogether more conducive for serious discussions. Fluor’s intention to blend its brand into the local culture is portrayed through the usage of timber throughout its offices.

Despite a tight deadline, DB&B managed to fulfil Fluor’s requirements, resulting in a personalised decor that portrays the company’s corporate brand perfectly.
