IT'S TIME TO PLAY

After moving its headquarters from Hong Kong, World Sports Group (WSG) feels that a new office means a new makeover that will emphasise its vision and brand. The organisation also believes it is important to create an inviting environment for its staff to brainstorm ideas, socialise and soak up the culture of the business. Hence, their jaunty new office seems more of a swanky bachelor pad or a fraternity house than an office.

Visitors are instantly greeted by exuberant images of victory and success. Sleek, clean lines and chrome and silver, punctuated with vibrant shocks of colour, dominate much of the design, accentuated by the wooden floors and brick walls. Massive photographic panels of sporting moments adorn the large white walls of the office, which leave no room for doubt about what WSG is all about.

"The new office is not only a showcase for our sporting properties and our position as a market leader in our industry, but also our passion for Asian sport," says Andrew Morris, chief financial officer, WSG.

One of the highlights of the office is the rest area. It comes complete with a stylish pool table, bar, vending machine, and a flat-screen television, as well as a spacious dining area where anyone is more than welcome to kick back, relax and mingle. Behind the dining area, glass walls imprinted with more sporting images further emphasise the company's identity.

An eye-catching feature is the glass viewing room housing WSG's recording equipment, and an editing wing that houses their state-of-the-art editing studios.

Working in a technophile paradise with the latest technology, a well-designed office - and a pool table - the boys definitely have nothing to complain about. HRM
