DB&B was appointed to design their new Chengdu office, a project that required a seamless blend of global corporate identity with local cultural inspiration, all while ensuring functional harmony between office and factory operations.
The Harmony of Nature + Culture
Inspired by the serene strength and layered beauty of Chengdu’s bamboo forests, the “Nature + Culture” concept transforms the workplace into a tranquil yet dynamic environment. Sculptural forms, organic flow, and biophilic elements reflect the local landscape, while a disciplined palette of SLB blue, crisp white, and natural green bridges the company’s technological vision with a calming, nature-infused aesthetic.
Effortless Transitions
This transitional zone ensures smooth movement between the office and factory. Light timber lockers and integrated benches provide practical storage and seating, while mirrored walls and linear lighting enhance spatial clarity. The result is a warm, efficient area that maintains the project’s natural materiality and supports daily workflow.
